Vehicle Pulling to One Side
A pull toward one side, especially when you release the steering wheel on a flat, straight road, often indicates caster difference between sides. The vehicle will drift toward the side with less positive caster.
Eliminate tire pressure differences, brake drag, and road crown before blaming caster. Inflate all tires to the specified pressure, swap front tires side-to-side to see if the pull reverses, and test the vehicle on different roads.
Wandering and Instability
A vehicle that won’t track straight and requires constant steering corrections may have too little positive caster on both sides. This symptom worsens at highway speeds and in windy conditions.
